Dan Eaton to Serve as President of Harvard Law School Association
SCMV is pleased to announce that Shareholder Dan Eaton was elected president-elect of the Harvard Law School Association (HLSA). After serving one year as president-elect, Dan will serve a two-year term as president beginning in July 2018. Started in 1886 by nearly 400 alumni, the HLSA today connects more than 38,000 graduates in nearly 150 countries. These alumni often continue to serve Harvard Law School, its graduates and students for decades thereafter. Through local associations and many special interest groups, HLSA fulfills its mission to advance legal education, increase Harvard Law School’s usefulness worldwide and promote good fellowship among its members. Dan’s practice focuses on defending and advising clients on a broad range of employment issues. He has written and spoken extensively on employment law, business and legal ethics, and other legal topics throughout much of his career, often appearing in local print and broadcast media as a legal analyst. Since 2007, he has taught classes in ethical decision making and employment law at San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business. Dan received his law degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1989 and has served on the HLSA Executive Committee and as president of the association’s San Diego chapter.
