SCMV is proud to sponsor Just The Beginning – A Pipeline Organization (JTB). JTB is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the legal system in the United States by encouraging underrepresented students to pursue career and leadership opportunities in the law.
JTB is expanding its program to San Diego with its Summer Legal Institute event taking place June 17-21, 2019 at the University of San Diego School of Law. During this one-week legal immersion program, scholars participate in interactive, legal-focused activities that enhance reading, writing, critical thinking, professional etiquette, financial literacy and public speaking skills. SCMV’s sponsorship ensures that JTB programs remain 100 percent free for scholars by helping to provide program materials, individual transportation stipends, group travel and meals.
